Antique Devonshire clotted cream pot - Black transfer

A rare Victorian cylinder cream pot, made of white ironstone pottery and decorated with a scarcely seen black under-glaze advertising transfer.

Condition:
Some fat staining and wear. A triangular section of the rim on the back side has been restored, with the colour tone of the repair glaze ever so slightly different to the original pot. This does not overly detract though and the pot displays beautifully otherwise.
