French ironstone plate with green transfer - Ironstone biscuit Leroy St
A late 19th/early 20thC French faience ironstone plate, fully decorated with an under-glaze green transfer advertising 'Biscuits Leroy, St Amand (Cher)'.
The middle of the plate features a scrolling armorial crest with a heraldic shield, ears of wheat and a swagging banner reading "Leroy, toujours et partous" (Always and everywhere).
The underside of the plate is embossed with 5 R.
