Imperial Coralline Tooth Paste rectangular pot lid & base
A rare antique rectangular pot lid for 'Imperial Coralline Tooth Paste'. Made of white ironstone pottery, the surface of the lid is decorated with stylised black advertising typography from Roberts & Co. Chemists, which includes their Parisian and London addresses, along with a central belted trademark and gilt band border. A scarce lid in original, honest condition, it is matched with a rectangular ironstone base for display.

Condition:
In original 'as found' condition with a fine hairline and staining/crazing on one corner. Matched with a rectangular base for display, although this is not the original and not a perfect fit, with the lid sitting slightly proud on top of the base rim. However, it still displays nicely as the base is slightly stained, crazed and worn to match the current aesthetic of the lid.
