Mini train size Frank Cooper Oxford Marmalade pot
A rare diminutive Frank Coopers Oxford Marmalade pot, made of white ironstone pottery and decorated with detailed black underglaze advertising transfer for the company, just like the larger counterparts.
Known as Train size pots, due to them being used as single serve portions in buffet and catering cars on the railways. Like most Victorian pots, they were usually discarded into bottle dumps (or out of the window of a train), so finding complete examples is getting more and more difficult with modern building over old dump sites and lines.

Condition:
There is a chip on the rim, and also the foot, along with age related glaze crazing & wear marks. Nonetheless a rare pot which still displays very nicely.
