Square Cherry tooth paste pot lid and base

A square antique Cherry Tooth Paste pot lid and base. Made of white ironstone pottery, the lid is beautifully decorated with a black underglaze transfer that utilises a variety of stylised typography, along with fancy borders and pinstripe detailing. Complete with the original square base.

Condition:
The lid has a scrape/large chip on the flange, along with two small bruise cracks on the opposing corners.
The base is chipped around the flange, with a scrape on the shoulder of one side and chips to the foot.
Both the lid and the base have staining, crazing and wear.
Despite these issues it is a very nice display pot with lovely staining, the lid looks good from the front and can be stood on the base.
