Stained mini French ironstone tureen - blue floral transfer
A diminutive antique French sauce tureen with beautiful staining and crazing. Made of white ironstone pottery with a pedestal foot and applied ear handles, the outside edge of the bowl is decorated with blue under-glaze transfer. The elaborate transfer includes a floral arrangement
on a jardiniere on one side, with the opposing side showing a banner depicting a port city, possibly Venice? Beneath the handles are other smaller individual transfers, including one of a boars head.
