Antique white ironstone Willow Pattern sifter
A very rare 19thC white ironstone sugar sifter, fully decorated with blue willow pattern transfer. Also known as a castor, muffineer or pepper pot, it is modelled with a flared foot and wide belly, which tapers to a pierced dome top with a little finial.

Condition:
In very good condition with minor signs of age. Some staining and glaze crazing is present as well as some wear around the little holes at the top.
