An early Edwardian advertisement for his and hers overcoats, "The Sonya" and "The Drummond", made by Anderson, Anderson & Anderson Ltd. London.
Makers of water and weather proofs for leisure, industry and Surgical appliances in the late 19th/early 20th century, the company won many awards and Gold medals for their products.
They were contractors to the House of Lords, Admiralty, The war office, the secretary of state for India, London Met police, General post office, crown agents for the colonies, London met fire brigade, Metropolitan asylum board and L.C.C. schools.
This fantastically stylish advertisement pictures a high society couple against a turn of the century metropolitan background, both wearing their long overcoats and hats with the company crest beneath and 33 medal/award count in the top corner. The original backing is still intact, which further advertises the wares and accreditation's of the business. Framed in Oak.
