A circular Victorian jelly mould with an angular architectural moulded design and central reserve, made of copper with a tinned lining to stop the copper reacting with acids in fruits. Circa 1870.
The outside edge is embossed with the pattern number 372C and engraved with the bold 'T' of Jones Bros of Down St, London - one of the best known retailers in the capital and supplier to the Duke of Wellington. Also engraved on the side is a stylised 5, which actually denoted the position on the owners shelf or use in certain recipes, rather than the size.
A couple of small dents and slight usage wear, but generally good condition with no splits or holes.
