A rare early 20thC white ironstone menu holder, transfer printed in black on both sides with advertising typography for Whitbread's Bottled Ale & Stout.
Produced by Mintons, with their Regicor (Reginald Corfield) makers mark to the foot.
The parchment card included is an original unused menu bearing the gilt Royal cypher of Edward VII. With rounded corners and gilt edging, a rare Edwardian find in perfect condition.
Menu - 6" x 4"
The underside has a small hole over the Mintons transfer with the dislodged piece inside, suggesting it originated from a firing fault. Slight wear to some of the over-glaze transfer, with some insignificant glaze crazing and light staining on one side. A rare item in very good original condition.
