A mid century flanged enamel sign for a bakery or grocer, advertising Champion Bread and Cakes.

A scarce and unusual double sided sign in lovely original condition, with simple stylised green typography on a cream ground, accompanied by the company shield in the top left corner.

381mm (15") x 228mm (9")

Good original condition with minor chipping and rust around the edges, one side is better than the other. Some rust runs on the back side which have not been cleaned off. The piece of oak on the flange had been to mount the sign flat against the wall, showing off the best side, and can be removed.
