A circular Victorian copper sponge or jelly mould, with a tinned lining to stop the metal reacting with acids in fruit ingredients. Circa 1880.
A relatively simple fluted design with two tiers at the base, moulds like these were often used for both savory and sweet recipes, including sponge entrees and jellies.
A couple of small dents and slight usage wear, but generally good condition with no splits or holes.
