An impressive Butchers toleware meat label for 'Imported Prime Steak - 1' Per Lb'. 

Wonderfully sign written in dark blue & red on a cream ground, with a yellow border running around the edge.

An unusually large and rare example, the advertising tin shield is supported by two spikes for standing in the meat. Late 19th/early 20th century.

Rust, scratch and wear marks commensurate with age, generally very good.
