A colourful original advertisement for Bilberet, a brand name of Beret Industries Ltd, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone (Northern Ireland). With adverts featured in Drapers and well known to supply berets to boy scouts and girl guides in the 1940's, their Berets were also an essential fashion choice for outdoor pursuits and sold the world over.

The poster advertisement is lithographically printed and beautifully illustrated in full colour, with a tagline of "Be sure you buy a Bilberet". The middle shows a realism impression of a woman wearing a beret, the bottom half of her face covered with the 'Made in England' label that was stitched into the berets.
The bottom of the poster shows various stylish outdoorsy types wearing berets, with well dressed women and walkers, golfers, a girl cycling and a chap with his cafe racer motorcycle.
