An Edwardian white ironstone pottery grocers display slab, heavily made with an inverted chamfer to the edge and bold Pure Butter lettering. A relatively small slab produced by Wedgwood at the beginning of the 20thC, with their embossed makers mark to the underside.
14" Top diameter
13-5/8" Bottom diameter
An old fill/touch out to a chip above the 'E' of Butter, as well as one corner of each of the cut out handles on the underside, these do not detract though and the slab displays very well. Some usage marks and wear, but overall a good clean example of an early small slab. Please enquire for further details.
