An early 20thC white ironstone ham stand retailed by G. Rushbrooke Ltd (Smithfield), with a crisp black makers transfers on one of the flared ends.
Very useful and versatile antiques that were used by butchers shops for display and carving, ham stands are often purchased to be used once again for their original purpose, on the dining table adorned with a large ham, but also look great holding a large church candle or lining a stem vase inserted into the centre hole.
11.5cm Tall (4-1/2")
16.8cm Diameter (6-5/8")
Perfect condition with no chips or scrapes. Some light wear to the rim of the Rushbrooke end where it was used as the foot, but no damage.
