Victorian Terracotta Hat box tobacco jar
Regular price £175
A Victorian terracotta tobacco jar, in the form of a wonderfully detailed leather top hat box.
Finely modelled with a padlock, hinges and tan straps, the top strap and buckles making the finial for lifting off the lid.
With the mould number of 173 and 'FGW' manufacturing marks on the base - the pottery factory marks for Bohemian maker Ferdinand Gerbing, who ceased trading in 1895 in what is now the Czech Republic.
